With Crystal White Wax Onions, you have options! While I am not growing this variety this year, it is a good one to chat about again.

Features:

  • This onion bulb can range between 1 and 4 inches wide.  I decided to grow my Crystal Whites like a pearl onion so I harvested them between 1 and 2 inches wide.
  • This onion will mature in around 70 days.
  • As you can tell by its name, it is a white onion.
  • Also, Crystal Whites have a sweet, mild flavor.
  • This onion is known for being a great pickling onion when harvested small.  Also, folks use them for stews, stir fries and salads.
  • Crystal Whites seeds can be direct sown 1/4″ deep.
