We finally got to check out 40 North at Alphabet City – what a great restaurant on the North Side of Pittsburgh. Alan tried the North Martini (on the right) and I got the Shore Leave (on the left). While they were very different, I really liked both!
Ingredients of the North Martini:
Gin or Vodka – Alan picked gin
Apricot Eau de Vie
Lillet – French dessert wine
Orange Bitters
Lemon Twist
Ingredients of the Shore Leave:
Rum
Aquavit – a Scandinavian distilled spirit flavored with herbs
Amontillado Sherry – this is a dry sherry
Carrot Syrup
Grapefruit
Lemon
