Crystal White Wax Onions can be grown for cute little pickling onions.
Features:
1) The onion bulb can range between 1 and 4 inches wide. I decided to grow my Crystal Whites like a pearl onion so I harvested them between 1 and 2 inches wide.
2) Crystal Whites are considered short day onions.
3) This onion will mature in 65 days.
4) As you can tell by its name, it is a white onion.
5) Also, Crystal Whites have a sweet, mild flavor.
6) This onion is known for being a great pickling onion when harvested small. Also, folks use them for stews, stir fries and salads.
7) Crystal Whites can be direct sown 1/4″ deep.
