There are different varieties of cosmos. I like Sonata Cosmos which I plant in between my vining tomato plants . . .
Features:
1) This variety is smaller which I like. It grows up to 20 inches tall.
2) Sonata Cosmos blooms come in white, pink, cherry and rose with a yellow centers.
3) The stems have lots of ferny leaves.
4) Sonata Cosmos love full sun.
5) Cosmos plants tolerate drought conditions.
6) You can pick the blooms right after they open and the greens can be used in flower arrangements.
7) In my garden, I’ve noticed the bees and butterflies enjoying the Sonata Cosmos. Another bloom that attracts bees and butterflies is the butterfly bush.
