Since 2020, I’ve been growing the Pacific Beauty Calendula Blend which includes gold and orange flowers. Calendula’s common name is pot marigold.
Features:
- This blend includes orange, yellow and apricot flowers that are up to 3 inches wide.
- The flowers attract pollinators.
- Pacific Beauty Calendula tolerates the cold and the heat so it blooms from spring until frost as long as you remove the spent flowers.
- This blend is somewhat drought tolerant.
- Pacific Beauty Calendula’s petals are edible.
- They are nice in floral arrangements both inside and outside the home.
- Some folks make hand cream from Calendula – I haven’t tried this yet!
- The plant will get up to two feet tall and wide.
- Calendula grows well in full sun to part shade.
- Here’s the bonus. . .Calendula self seeds!
