I’ve been successfully growing Happy Ever Appster Daylilies since 2014! While this daylily comes in different colors, we are growing Rosy Returns which is pink with a yellow center.
1) There are other color options in various shades of yellow, apricot, pink, red and plum.
2) These daylilies enjoy full to part sun.
3) The leaves, the plant and the flower are wider then the Stella D’Oro Daylily. The flowers are 3 inches wide and the plant will reach 16 inches tall.
4) Happy Ever Apptser Daylilies typically bloom from summer to fall with a higher concentration in early summer.
5) You can encourage new blooms by cutting the scapes (the flower stems) down near the base once the blooms die.
6) Now if you want more daylily plants, just get out a shovel, dig out the root ball, lay the plant on its side, divide it in half and replant. I tried this during the spring and it worked well. You can also do it in the fall.
7) Don’t forget that deer like all daylilies so you should spray them with a product like Liquid Fence.
Depending on which Happy Ever Appster Daylily you select, you may see some variation in size, zone tolerance and length of blooming period so you will need to do some research.
