I have a hummingbird feeder which does a good job attracting hummingbirds. Now if you want a beautiful and vibrant garden that attracts hummingbirds, you might want to consider planting a haven for them.  Since I have the feeder and some of their favorite flowers, they hang out in my yard more.
Hummingbirds are attracted to red tubular flowers and other bright colors like purple, yellow and orange.
Here are the suggested flowers from the Hummingbird Haven Flower Seed Packet Mix from Botanical Interests:
- Bee Balm
- Butterfly Weed
- Shooting Star Columbine
- Coral Bells
- Flowering Tobacco
- Foxglove
- Godetia
- Hollyhock
- Lupine
- Nasturtium
- Penstemon
- Annual Phlox
- Red-Hot Poker
- Rocket Larkspur
- Spider Flower
- Standing Cypress
- Texas Sage
- Zinnia
Some other flowers to consider are Snapdragon, Sweet William, Bellflower, Four O’Clock, Hollyhock, Fuchsia and Bleeding Heart.
Also, I noticed on the website for Park Seed, they have a search for “Vines Hummingbirds Love”. This category includes Morning Glory, Cypress, Cardinal Climber, Cathedral Bells and Honeysuckle.
Since some of my neighbors grow foxgloves and hollyhocks and I grow zinnias, fuchsias and snapdragons, the hummingbirds love our neighborhood.
