Craft Beer from New Mexico

Craft Beer Sampler at Canteen Brewhouse

Recently shared a beer sampler with Alan at the Canteen Brewhouse in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  This is a dog friendly brewhouse so Hoover loved hanging out with us on the heated patio!

We tried two Canteen Brewhouse standards:

Dougie Style Amber – Starting with the citrus and floral aroma of Cascade hops, this American amber ale has a complimenting malt complexity of toffee, nuts and warm bread.

Pecos Trail Brown – Bread, biscuit, toast, and bittersweet chocolate create a malt character in this brown ale that is full and flavorful, and finishes with notes of caramel.

I am sharing their description so you can imagine how tasty they were!

We also tried three seasonal beers:

Irish Red

Wee Bit Loco Strong Scotch Ale

Good Boy Rosco Hazy IPA

If you go to their webpage, they have award winning beer.  They won 15 international, 55 national and 77 local awards.

The last craft beer sample that I shared was near home in Pittsburgh
