Aperol Spritz and Lillet Negroni

Good Friends and Good Cocktails

Happy Hour Friday!  I am sharing two drinks today – two for the price of one article!  So last week we met friends at The Vandal in Lawrenceville, PA.  As you can see we were so excited to get out and go to a restaurant once we got the green light during the pandemic.

See below for the main ingredients of the two cocktails which are plant based – a Crazy for Gardening criteria!

My yummy drink was the Lillet Negroni which consists of:

Lillet Rose – This is a French dessert wine so it comes from grapes.

Gin – One of the ingredients of Gin is juniper berries.

Campari – This is a liqueur made from the infusion of Chinotto (citrus) and the Caribbean herb called cascarilla.

Anna got an Aperol Spritz which was bright and orange!  The main ingredients include:

Aperol – In case you didn’t know, Aperol is an Italian bitter.  Rhubarb is one of the ingredients in Aperol.

Prosecco – Of course, Prosecco qualifies as plant based because it is made from Prosecco grapes!

Orange Juice – So nutritious!

Since Anna went on and on about how good it was, I got it for my second drink!  Don’t worry I was not the designated driver!

While the guys got martinis, the ladies made the best selections!
