I’ve been growing Wando Peas for a long time.
Features:
1)The wando pea plant does not grow as tall as my other pea and bean plants but it is rather productive considering it only vines up to 30 inches.
2) The pod typically hold between 7 and 9 medium sized peas.
3) Wando peas freeze well.
4) This pea variety has white flowers.
5) Since Wando peas plants are cold and heat tolerant, you can plant them early in the spring for a summer harvest and mid summer for a fall harvest.
6) This variety has been around since 1943 – it is an oldy but goody!
7) Wando peas are a cross between two heirlooms – Laxton’s Progress and Perfection.
