I grew Walla Walla Onions from seeds this year. . .
Features:
1) Walla Walla Onions are yellow and sweet.
2) This variety is a long day type of onion.
3) The bulbs can grow to be up to 6 inches wide. Unfortunately, my Walla Wallas don’t get that large!
4) Keep in mind that this variety is meant for short term storage.
5) Walla Walla Onions take about 125 days to mature.
6) It is an heirloom which means that these seeds have been passed down from generation to generation.
7) I heard through the grapevine that this variety was brought from Italy to Walla Walla, Washington.
The last onion that I shared with you was Red Long of Tropea.
