While there are not many seed ideas for beets, there are fewer types of beets. I can only think of two types.
Round Beets: This is the traditional type of beet. When you go to the grocery store, you probably only see round red beets to buy. As I showed in my seed idea article. there are other color options.
Cylindrical Beets: This type of beet grows oblong like a cylinder. While there are not many varieties available, folks like to grow this type for uniform size and slices and for canning. If you are into canning, you can still use the round ones.
