You might see this herb called Thai Basil or Sweet Thai Basil. 

Features:

  • It has a unique taste which is a combo of basil, anise and clove flavors!
  • Sweet Thai Basil has pretty purple flowers.
  • The leaves are green and oval shaped.
  • This variety of basil is often used in Asian dishes and in salads.
  • It is frost sensitive.
  • Sweet Thai Basil will get up to 2 feet tall and wide.
  • This basil prefers full sun.
  • Pollinators like it too.

Another herb garden favorite is Cardinal Basil.
