My favorite cherry tomatoes come in one packet from Botanical Interests. Â The seed packet is a Rainbow Blend so it includes seeds for 7 different colored cherry and grape tomatoes. Â The seeds are color coded too so you can grow all seven varieties at the same time which is what I do.
The following are the varieties of cherry and grape tomatoes and the color of the seeds included in the blend:  Sundrop (orange seed), Gold Nugget (yellow seed), Brown Cherry (blue seed), Sweetie (red seed), Green Grape (green seed), Super Snow White (no color) and Bicolor Cherry (pink seed).  These tiny tomatoes are easy to find because they stand out against the green leaves. They grow on vigorous vines that can reach 6 feet in the home garden so you will need a pole to give them support.  These tomatoes keep giving until the fall. Here is a helpful hint:  Label each plant because they all start out green!
I am also growing Principe Borghese (an Italian delicacy) again this year from Botanical Interests which is a variety for dried tomatoes. The tomatoes are small plum shaped tomatoes and can be dried on the plant, in a dehydrator or in an oven.  It is a pole plant and can reach 4 feet and 18 inches wide.  Previously, I tried drying them on the plant but I didn’t like that option – it attracted a lot of bugs!  I was going to try drying them in the oven last year but I forgot. Instead, someone in my family kept eating them!
Now for some other seed companies:
Burpee offers 22 varieties of cherry and grape tomatoes. Â You have to check out Italian Ice which ripens from green to ivory.
High Mowing sells 18 varieties of cherry and grape tomatoes. Â The Indigo Cherry Drops, Pink Bumblebee and Purple Bumblebee look interesting!
Johnny’s Selected Seeds offers quite a few choices for cherry and grape tomatoes and categorizes the choices between red, colored, indeterminate and determinate. Â If you missed my post of indeterminate or determinate, just click on the link.
Territorial Seed Company sells 25 different cherry tomatoes and 4 different grape tomatoes. Â Check out Montesino which is another variety that is good for dried tomateos.
Who knew there were so many choices for tiny tomatoes!
