I think spring planting would not be complete without snow peas. Here are some seed ideas:
Oregon Sugar Pod II – the pods are longer at 4 inches and freeze well. I grow this variety every year.
Mammoth Melting – these pods will grow between 4 and 7 inches
Oregon Giant – this variety grows up to 5 inches long. Some folks let this variety mature to a shelling pea.
Green Beauty – this variety will vine up to 8 feet tall so be ready with a trellis.
Avalanche – lots of tendrils
Blizzard – this variety vines up to 3 feet and has 3 inch pods
Golden Sweet – the pods are yellow
Little Purple – this variety has purple flowers and green pods.
I got the above ideas from Vermont Bean, High Mowing, MI Gardener, Botanical Interests and Baker Creek.
