It’s never too early to start getting your seeds for next year. One of the veggie staples in my garden are hot peppers.
Top Ten List:
I typically grow four plants of each of these hot pepper plants:
1) Jalapeno – I like growing the variety called Jalafuego. Most jalapeno peppers start out green and turn red. There are some varieties that are yellow, orange and purple – who knew!
2) Poblano
3) Anaheim Green Chili – I love growing the variety called NuMex Joe E. Parker.
4) Guajillo – We love to dry this variety!

Because the following peppers are on the hot side and are heavy producers, I usually grow one plant of each in a container:
5) Cayenne – I usually grow the Ring of Fire variety but there are other choices and colors!
6) Habanero
7) Twilight – NuMex Twilight are sweet looking but hot. These peppers grow from purple to yellow to orange to red.
8) Serrano
Here are a few more choices of hot peppers:
8) Pasilla
9) Fresno Peppers
10) Aji Limo – these peppers are from the Peru.
