Save Pepper Seeds

Save Pepper Seeds

I grow at least 8 different varieties of peppers so I need to be organized when saving seeds. . .

Seed Saving Tips:

1) Take a mature pepper that has reached its final color and has softer skin and flesh.

2) Slice the pepper and take out the placenta and seeds.  If you are dealing with hot peppers, make sure you have gloves on!

3) Remove the seeds from the placenta.

4) Leave the pepper seeds to dry out on a dish or bowl.

5) Store the seeds in an envelope until next season in a cool place.

6) Don’t forget to label the envelope with the variety and the date.
