While there are a few varieties of rosemary, I typically grow the upright type that forms a bush. If it blooms, it will get blue flowers.
Best Features:
1) It is so aromatic! If you go outside in the rain, the rosemary will smell so good!
2) Depending on where you live this plant will be a annual or a perennial!
3) You can always bring the rosemary plant indoors to enjoy it longer.
4) I waited to talk about why I like rosemary until Thanksgiving because we use rosemary when brining and roasting the turkey!
5) Don’t worry there are plenty of other ways to use rosemary- to make rosemary bread and cocktails such as Rosemary’s Thyme and to flavor meats, vegetables and olive oil.
6) Rosemary is a sun lover so keep that in mind when you plant it.
7) My plant typically grows to about 1 to 1 1/2 foot high and wide. If you live in a really warm area it will get up to 3 feet high and 5 feet wide.
It’s been a while since we talked about other herb varieties like Common Chives.
