Potting Table and Shelves for Organization

Homemade Potting Table

The main question is:  Do you really need to be organized?  Well, I fight it every step of the way because Alan loves organization!  In the end, it is helpful to find things when you are in a hurry!  Here are two really helpful things he constructed for me. . .

Keter 4 ft Wide Heavy Duty Shelves

My husband made me this cute potting table.  There is room underneath for containers to store my seed starter soil (this will be a topic for another day!) and potting soil.  Over to the right Alan has some of his tools – since he did all the work, I had to spare some room for his grinder and buffer!  There is a hole in the top right to slide in a bucket to catch my messes.  I put some plastic on top so I can easily wipe the dirt off.  The cute gardening sign was given to me by friends, Gina and Mark when Alan first built my garden fortress.

Next Alan put up these great shelves for me that he found at Lowes.  They are heavy duty!  I have two sets of these shelves for my gardening stuff.  As you can see in the photo, one is dedicated to growing.  The other set of shelves stores my plant food, seeds, planting supplies & bird food.  I am somewhat organized now!

While this one did not make the cut for the Grow Room, I will be reusing it.

I previously used the shelving unit / small greenhouse with the red X – it was good for me at one point because it was movable!  Once I switched to the T5 grow lights, this small greenhouse became too difficult to move because of the weight of the T5 grow lights.  I didn’t get rid of this small greenhouse because it has a plastic cover so I can use it outside when I am hardening off my plants – always try to reuse!
