Music Garlic Cloves

Music Garlic has a white wrapper with only 4 to 6 large cloves per head.  It is a hardneck type of garlic.   If you recall, there are 3 main hardneck families (rocambole, porcelain and purple stripe).  Music Garlic is in the porcelain family.

On an interesting note, Music Garlic has a high alicin content which is supposed to be very good for you.  Also, it is known for a rich but strong flavor.  When harvested, it will store around 9 months.

Music Garlic Bulbs

While Music Garlic is said to be disease resistant, I have not had any problems with growing garlic.   It is good to know that this variety is hardy and healthy!

I planted 15 cloves of Music Garlic which I purchased from Enon Valley Garlic.​
