An herb stripper sounds naughty, but it’s not. . . it is actually helpful with using and preserving herbs. While the herb scissors make it easy to cut certain herbs, this tool makes it is to remove the leaves from their stem. I find it most helpful to remove leaves from woody stemmed herbs like thyme, rosemary, oregano, tarragon and lavender.
All you have to do is put the base of the herb stem through the hole that is slightly larger than the stem and pull so that the leaves fall into the measuring cup below. The measuring cup measures in increments of tablespoons.
I have seen some models with larger holes to strip kale and chard. Get what works for you!
