Freeze Herbs

Freeze Rosemary and Garlic Butter

If I had a lot of free time, I would make rosemary bread from scratch.  Since I don’t have a lot of free time until I retire, I am doing an easy work around!  I will use the rosemary and garlic butter on top of my favorite bread.  Some other options for rosemary and garlic butter include baked or mashed potatoes, grilled cheese, pasta and eggs. If you don’t like garlic, you can skip it.

Ingredients:

Salted Butter – I need 4 sleeves of butter to fill my herb cube trays – each sleeve is 8 tablespoons

Rosemary – 2 twigs

Garlic – 2 cloves (optional)

Recipe Steps:

1) Soften the butter,

2) Use a knife or the herb scissors to slice/cut the rosemary – do a taste test to make sure you have the right amount!

3) Press the garlic cloves,

4) Mix the three ingredients,

5) Freeze the ingredients in an ice cube tray or in an herb cube tray like I do!
