Here is my top ten gift list for the outdoor gardener. This list includes reasonable and expensive items. You can tailor it! It is the thought that counts!
Top Ten List:
1) Flower, Vegetable, Fruit and Herb Seeds – You can pick some exotic or unusual seeds. You can select a theme of seeds such as flower seeds that attract pollinators like bees or vegetable and herb seeds geared toward Mexican or Italian cooking.
2) Seed Spacer – this can be in the shape of a ruler or a seeding square for square foot gardening.
3) Tools for Planting – tools to weed and dig. Don’t forget to use reusable gloves!
4) Trellises – vertical gardening is a great way to save space. You can use bamboo sticks, tomato cages and cattle fencing.
5) Planters, Raised Garden Beds or Elevated Garden Beds.
6) Watering Can, Hose or a Drip System –Â I have a drip system but I still need a watering can once in a while.
7) Gadgets to save your Back, Butt and Knees – garden cart, garden chair and knee pad.
8) Composter Bin– best way to get black gold soil.
9) Season Extenders –Â hoops plus netting, garden fabric and plastic
10) Plant Markers- my preference is to be organized in the garden. I use wooden sticks.
