In 2020, we finally had the garden soil added to the elevated and raised beds that Alan built. We decided to have Zach of Grass Masters Landscaping bring the soil because we needed 7 yards! Zach brought top soil and mushroom compost in the ratio of three parts top soil to one part mushroom compost.
Previously three of my raised beds had really thick clay soil which wasn’t very good for root veggies and water drainage.
Zach and his team used his mulch blowing machine to spread the garden soil. The best part is that when the top soil and the mushroom compost circulated with the moving air in the machine, the garden soil comes out very fluffy. The veggies and fruit love the recipe! Another recipe that I shared is the compost recipe.
