Winter Radish Varieties

Wasabi Radishes

First year growing this type of radish.

Features:

1) This root vegetable hails from Japan.

2) It has the flavor of wasabi and horseradish roots. Wow!

3) Wasabi radishes take 40 to 50 days to mature.

4) You should sow the seeds 1/4 inch deep in the cooler weather in early spring or late summer/early fall.

5) Space the plants about 4 inches apart or 9 per square feet.

6) If wasabi radishes mature in the fall/winter, the flavor will be mild and sweet. If they mature in the summer, they will pack some heat!
