Pinto beans are a go-to bean for Mexican dishes.
Features:
1) Pinto beans are half-runner plants. The bush part of the plant will grow up to 20 inches tall. Also, the plant will also send off a vine (a runner). If you plant them near a fence or a trellis, you will get more beans from the runner.
2) The blooms are a pale yellow.
3) Pinto beans are light tan with brown specks.

4) You can harvest these bean as a fresh snap bean or dry beans. My preference is to grow them for dry beans.
5) Pinto plants should be spaced 6 inches apart.
6) Pinto plants mature in 90 days.
In the Legume Family, I grow several peas and bean varieties.
