In my opinion, NuMex Joe E. Parker is the best Anaheim chili pepper.
Features:
1) This variety is tasty and is mildly hot which means that it can range between 500 and 2,500 on the Scoville heat index. I think my peppers are closer to the 2,500 marker!
2) The NuMex Joe E. Parker plant is very productive.
3) This Anaheim matures around 75 days after transplanting.
4) These peppers should be picked when they are between 6 and 8 inches long and about 2 inches wide at the top.
5) They can be harvested when they are green or when they turn red.
6) NuMex Joe E. Parker has a thick skin so you should char the skin off before eating. Wow are they good stuffed!
7) In case you were wondering, this pepper is named after one of the developers at New Mexico State University.
8) These plants should be spaced between 12 and 24 inches apart.
9) Anaheim peppers are considered chili or chile peppers. Everyone has a different opinion on how to spell this type of pepper!
The last hot pepper that I highlighted was habanero peppers.
