I am growing two varieties of Globe Amaranths (Globosa and Fiery Sunrise) that come in several colors. While I previously admired these blooms in the garden along with the pollinators, I decided to use them for a dried floral arrangement this year so I can enjoy them longer!
Harvesting Tips:Â 1) Cut the stem with scissors when it is cooler in the morning or evening.
Short Term Storing Tips: 2) Trim some of the lower leaves and put them in a vase of water.
Long Term Storing Tips:Â
Drying Tips: 2) Remove the leaves, wrap the stems in twine and hang the stems and flowers upside down for approximately 2 weeks. 3) Put them in a vase without water. Now you have a colorful dried flower arrangement!
