Guajillo Peppers

We love to dry Guajillo Peppers to make sauce.

Features:

1) These peppers grow to about 6 inches long.

2) Guajillo Peppers will turn from green to red when ripe.

3) This type of pepper is known for its sweet heat and smoky flavor.

4) Guajillos have a mild to medium level of heat which means they are between 3,000 and 5,000 on the Scoville heat index.

5) These pepper plants are very productive.

6) Guajillo Peppers will mature in 75 days.

7) This variety is typically used with other hot peppers to make mole sauce.

8) Unlike NuMex Joe E. Parker Anaheim Peppers, Guajillo Peppers have thin skins.

9) These plants should be spaced between 12 and 24 inches apart. You know I like to push spacing so I typically plant my pepper plants 12 inches apart.
