Wow this crazy weather in Pittsburgh has been great for my lettuce, spinach and radishes! Â Do a search in this blog for the articles on these three vegetables so you can see what varieties I am growing.
As for the Spinach, I’ve only planted the Monstrueux de Viroflay and the Baby’s Leaf Hybrid.  I will be planting the other two varieties soon if I can find some room.  As for the radishes, I’ve only harvested the French Breakfast Radish.  I’ve been enjoying all the varieties of lettuce that I am growing.  See the pictures of the spinach and lettuce growing in the raised bed above and below.  I think one of the keys is keeping the lettuce and spinach shaded with lightweight fabric which also helps to deter the bugs.
