This is another herb that may be hard to find in your area so you need to snag it when you see it at a plant store.
Features:
- This plant has silver-green leaves that smell like curry.
- While the Curry Herb smells like curry, it doesn’t taste like it. This is why this herb is classified as an aromatic herb.
- The Curry Herb prefers full sun.
- It will grow up to 3 feet tall and 1 1/2 feet wide.
- The Curry Herb will bloom in the summer with yellow flowers which can be dried for year-round floral arrangements.
- This herb enjoys hot, dry climates but can survive in colder regions like Pittsburgh, PA. While most folks say that this herb can survive down to only Zone 7 as a perennial, I’ve been growing my herb plant for several years outdoors just like the Olive Herb.
- Just like the Mushroom Herb, you can dig it up in the fall and bring it indoors or propagate it from cuttings.
- Curry Herb can be used in egg and chicken dishes. I would go slow with adding this herb to your favorite dish.
