Well I am ALMOST done growing sugar snap peas!  First of all, I previously planted about 16 vines – 2 on each pole.  Since these plants are starting to slow down and like cooler weather, I decided to start another round. I planted two more seeds on the other side of the same poles – lets see what happens!
As for cooking sugar snaps, my favorite way is to sautee them.
Here are the simple steps:
- First you have to remove the string along each side of the pod. Don’t worry, it’s easy. Gently tear one end of the pod and pull the string from the one side and then do the other end and side (see the picture above).
- Heat a pan with a little olive oil or butter, sea salt and pepper.
- Put the sugar snaps in the pan and heat for amount 5 minutes.
