Last year was the first time that I grew Chioggia Beets. As you may already know, I am not a big fan of solid red beets. Here is why I like Chioggia Beets . . .
Features:
1) This variety has red skin and red and white rings inside.
2) Chioggia Beets do not bleed red everywhere like the solid red beets – bonus!
3) These beets will get up to 3 inches wide.
4) Chioggia leaves will reach up to 1 1/2 feet tall.
5) This beet is named after a fishing village called Chioggia near Venice, Italy.
6) This variety will mature in about 55 days.
7) Chioggia Beets are great fresh and roasted.
